Sri Siddhartha Gautama (ශ්රී සිද්ධර්ථ ගතම) is a 2013 Sinhalese epic biographical film based on the life of the Buddha. Directed by Saman Weeraman and written by Dr Edwin Ariyadasa, Saman Weersman, Navin Gunarathne and George Paldona, the film stars Gagan Malik as Prince Siddhartha, Anchal Singh as Princess Yasodhara, Ranjan Ramanayake as King Suddhodana, and Gautam Gulati as Prince Devadatta. The film was released in Sri Lanka on 24 January 2013 and has been dubbed into many languages such as Mandarin, Thai, Vietnamese and Hindi. It has also been subtitled in French, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mandarin and Hindi.
