Why sign up for QPR player development camp JULY 8-10
When I first set up my own soccer coaching business in 2000, the goal was always to develop North American players capable of successfully competing for professional contracts at Professional clubs in Europe.
We have succeeded in helping young players in their journey to play in the English Premiership (EPL), La Liga in Spain and other professional leagues throughout Europe.
There is a good level of talent in North America but what is holding back our players is their lack of access to full-time training environments at the professional levels.
That is why I send 30+ players each year to Europe for training and formal trials opportunities at professional clubs in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
I also invite academy coaches who work with academy players at professional clubs in Europe to Canada so that I can expose a greater number of players to the training methodology used by professional clubs.
It is obviously less expensive for families to register for training in Canada by these coaches than pay for flights, accommodations and meals in Europe - which can total a few thousand dollars.
I hope that many of you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to train with a QPR academy coach and get selected for their international online academy. Then, you can train like academy players at professional clubs in the UK on an ongoing basis.
What other training opportunities are available with QPR academy coach Harry Cutler
In addition to the three-day training camp with QPR Academy coach Harry Cutler on July 8-10 in Burlington, players will have the opportunity to join QPR's international online academy and receive video analysis from Harry by submitting a personal video.
In addition, we will be offering a limited number of individual training sessions (1 hour) delivered by Harry during his stay in Canada.
Young players in England who are not selected for academy teams at professional teams do not have access to these types of training opportunities with academy staff at professional clubs. We are thankful that QPR and VIA Academy are helping us bring these types of opportunities to young players in Canada.
